World-renowned, Pejman Hadadi is one of the most innovative Iranian percussionists. At the age of 10 he began studying Tombak, with Master, Assadollah Hejazi. Pejman is the founder of Neyreez Music Academy in California where he teaches Daf and Tombak. He is a two-time recipient of the prestigious Durfee Master Musician Fellowship. In 1995, he joined Dastan Ensemble. Pejman has created a distinct signature style, so he used this combination for the first time in his concerts with Dastan Ensemble and many of his albums, like Shurideh.
He has performed and collaborated with countless master musicians of the Persian and World music traditions around the world, receiving great audience and critical acclaim. In addition to composing an extensive repertoire for percussion and dance, he has performed on numerous albums of highly esteemed Iranian composers as well as on all the released works of Dastan Ensemble.
